I’ve been in the Seattle area for the past week, even though I haven’t shared any articles about it (did you notice I took a Monday off from my photo of the week installment?) or posted any photos to Instagram. And what have I Continue reading

Some Of The Odd Things I’ve Heard In Europe
I’m not sure what I love more – writing each and every post for this blog, or traveling to generate material for it. For the past nine days, though, I’ve certainly been doing plenty of the latter. I spent two days in Iceland, five days in Scotland, two days in Brussels, and one Continue reading

It’s Never Just Crashing Waves and Sunsets
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, then you know that I’m in San Francisco, a trip I’ve been planning for about a month and a half now. My excitement has been insatiable, and it felt surreal when the plane finally took off from Dulles on Friday. Kevin and I landed in L.A. and drove up Continue reading

I’m on the final leg of my latest Seattle journey, which began in frustrating fashion last week. Continue reading

The Inevitable Food Frenzy With Family
It’s forty-four degrees, cloudy, and rainy here in Seattle, and I’m jealous of all those people who are spending Christmas in the Caribbean. Every now and then I hear about a family that’s done with Christmas stress and decides that everyone should spend the holiday season together at some resort in Puerto Rico or the Bahamas. Now, that would be a Christmas vacation. Continue reading

Can Someone Just Help Me Get To Seattle, Please?
Okay, so this story actually starts a couple of months ago.
Back in June, I booked a flight on American Airlines so that Kevin and I could visit his parents in Seattle the week after Thanksgiving (post-holiday travel is cheaper, y’all!). We were all set to depart DCA on December 2 at 6:45 am, which would have had us arriving in Seattle at 10:15 am. Perfect, right? That way, Kevin would be able to work remotely for most of the day. Continue reading
