Yesterday, I published a full-length article about my adventure to western Washington’s breathtaking Snow Lake. I mentioned how I now consider this incredible locale to be one of my favorite spots in the world – and I’m not exaggerating. Now, considering how much I love Snow Lake, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to know I compiled a photo gallery to go alongside my article.
As always, I had waaaay to many photos from this hike to fit into just one article, and since my blog is part travel writing and part photography, I’m always game for a gallery!
I’ve loved photography my whole life, and while there are many reasons for my obsession, the most relevant one is that pictures encourage us to travel. I know countless adventures of my own have come about because I saw some incredible photo in a magazine, online, or while scrolling through Instagram and I then thought to myself, “hey, I really need to go there.”
And in a nutshell, that’s why I take two billion photos whenever I’m out hiking or adventuring. Other people’s landscape photography has played a such a large role in my own travels and I hope my pictures can do the same. Ideally, this photo gallery of Snow Lake will have you pricing out flights to Seattle.
The Snow Lake trail had everything I want from an outdoor adventure: a bold blue Alpine lake, jagged mountains with hints of snow, and endless forests of lush green trees. I’ve always been more of a mountain person than a beach person (a controversial subject, I know) and Snow Lake felt like a place I’d dreamed up as part of a travel fantasy.
But nope, Snow Lake is 100% real! Trust me.
